down by the truckstop highway glow

I started writing a post the other day at work about, well, work and the virus shutdown stuff, but then I drafted it to finish it later and now today we're gonna be closed until April 6th, so I guess that sorted itself out!

Thankfully, my job will pay me for closures like this, but I kinda want to see if any of us are able to go in for a day or two each week to focus on housekeeping stuff like weeding/shelf reading/etc, since we'll be closed to the public. But I dunno if that's a thing in the cards. I guess we'll be doing stuff like checking the bookdrops and other things, but nothing's set in stone until Monday when we're all there I imagine.

I'm surprised, but not surprised we closed. I guess I'm surprised because pretty much any retail job I've ever worked would NOT close for this. But all the other libraries around us are closing/have closed and the public schools have closed locally, so it was just a matter of time.

Hopefully I can get a whole fuckin' lot of artwork done during this time because I've got some overdue stuff in my queue. x_x

Werewolf was last night! Last month it was just three of us plus the storyteller, so we chose what we were doing during the battle and concluded those actions. This month, the rest of the group was there, so the battle happened and they got filled in on what transpired to their packmates who already had their fates decided. We lost on pack member, Friend Jason's character Amaruq (i am probably spelling that wrong lol) who was, arguably, the most useful Garou-Raised-In-Garou-Society character we had who kept us from doing really stupid shit that's obvious to werewolves, but not to homid born/homid raised werewolves. He was my character, Mal's, second in command basically and she's a little fucked up over it.

I was a little peeved that the player who was there last time basically spoiled the fact that Amaruq died, though, because we wanted to keep it on the downlow so the other players would be surprised and, y'know, get that emotional kick in the gut. But whatever, it happens.

Everyone else survived mostly unharmed. One character departed, but their player brought in another (the player mentioned above specifically. last session he forgot his regular sheet and played a pre-gened character and ended up liking him) who is not meshing well with the pack, but it makes for fun character interaction. And Tony's character Lockjaw made a return! I'm looking forward to seeing the pack have to help integrate him into human society because he was a bait dog, so he understands some shit, but, like, he can't drive a car.

The three of us (jason, tony, and i) have concocted horrible plans should all of our characters perish in game at the same time and we have three just assholes we want to play together and be a general pain in the ass. I gotta write up Courtney as a Garou instead of a Black Spiral Dancer, but that really just entails changing her tribe to Silver Fang, swapping some gifts, and tweaking her background a little. Pretty much everything else can stay, lol.
