obliviousally | i need my empty halls to echo with grand self-mythology

this week has been busy af at work b/c we're getting TWO new people next week and another new employee soon-ish after (waiting for hr to get things in order). so we've been cleaning/reorganizing and i had to MOVE BACK INTO THE WORKROOM which is lame. i liked my dim hallway desk, but mgr wants all of us in the workroom together and there's six desks there so it had to happen. but i got to choose my desk and took the other back corner desk where bobbie, our former children's librarian was. it's got a nice window shelf and a smidge extra space.

but we had to get all the desks set up and move the cricut and stuff and make things nice and neat, basically.

PLUS we had to update out duties and the documentation for them and, turns out, most of the employee manual/documentation for the branch hasn't been updated since 2017. :| so i hyperfocused for three-ish days to condense, clean up, organize, and make pretty everything i could. i'll probably still work on stuff tomorrow and monday, as well. there's a lot of stuff we no longer needed instructions for b/c we don't do it anymore and stuff we DO need new instructions for. hopefully all of it will be helpful/useful for the new folks

i also had my performance evaluation today - they're annual so deep in the back of my brain i'm worried there's one weird little thing that's gonna come out to bite me in the ass. esp b/c our mgr can be bad about communication (tell me WHEN IT HAPPENS so i can fix it WHEN IT HAPPENED) and the only mid-grade marks were me not running public facing stuff by her before putting it on the floor (note to self: just email her the files or whatever and get the okay that way). everything else was above or exceptional, so i've got that going for me. i'll get a step increase and maybe i'll finally hit $15/hr!

i've been trying to force myself to draw b/c i've barely done so since january and i've got some comms that need done. including a big ref sheet for a local furry x_x

but i busted a couple sketches out with some refs from around, at least. may not amount to anything, but it's something

Comic panel redraw or sorrell lol literally just sketched over for the time being - head is weird gotta tweak proportions. might ditch the sunglasses, idk

laurie. a kibbitzer sketchover, i still gotta do some work to it. i do a lot of this where i find a good pose or something i want to use and i'll sketch/draw directly over it to get the pose down (or even the vibe of the pose down) and then work it out and adjust it to fit my style, redrawing as necessary and tweaking proportions. this pose had a laurie vibe and i was thinking about doing a rooftop for a background/setting but idk if i'll commit to it lol

i posted this one on twitter (i haven't posted the other two anywhere else yet lol) already but i added her tail this time! accomplishments. upper body reffed from a kibbitzer pose. had the "brilliant" idea of portraits in the background but.........................i'd have to draw them

i posted this on twitter, too, but i think before i went back and refined it a little more (as much as my sketches like these can be refined short of going in and REALLY cleaning them up). i do want to ink this, but i feel like it's missing something. idk what yet lol
