alleyman's tarot - day four - misery

04/04
time-ish: morning, before work

[Misery] ⇧

If you’ve been alive, you probably are familiar with this term. Let’s not labor over hidden meanings, then.

Misery is a lasting sorrow, pain, struggle. It’s something that feels like it’s in all corners of your body. That’s what this card is. in reverse, this card is still misery.

I’m not a fan of being fancy with suffering. It just is what it is. Knowing that it’s lasting means that upright and reverse can be different legs of the journey. Reverse in that case I tend to read as something coming to a close, or being resolved in the future. The tail end of grief.

end of day thoughts
i didn't have any thoughts about this yesterday, nothing miserable happened, nothing stood out. but there's been a type of misery undercurrent for a long time, but i don't need a card to tell me about it
