updates updates updates that aren't tarot lol
tony's out in st. louis w/his friend turq for the foreseeable future. he offered to come out and help with house/day-to-day stuff in the wake of turq's brother passing a month or two ago. so i'm home alone! which is, honestly, kind of nice. living in a small space with someone, even if you're in a relationship with them, can be absolutely exhausting and i think it's good to have that type of distance/space on occasion. plus i can play my music in the middle of the day and be loud cleaning the house and not worry b/c someone else is sleeping X3 (we often have separate sleep schedules, so i'll hold off on shit like that until the weekend or he wakes up)
i've been trying to kind of keep to a schedule so i don't fuck my own sleep schedule up by just ~doing whatever~ and it's been pretty good. around 10pm-ish, i'll get off the pc and watch a movie or play a game or watch tiktoks for two hours and then i'll cut the lights and lay down and YEAH i'll still be on my phone playing a match game or something, but i'm USUALLY asleep before 2am haha
i re-watched 'beetlejuice' for the first time since i was a kid earlier this week and i feel like it's definitely more fun when you get the bureaucratic hell of the afterlife present in it and the rules and stuff surrounding being dead/ghosts. it's fun!
also watched 'the mitchell's vs. the machines' and it was fine lol. the best parts were absolutely the mall and then the mom going apeshit on the advanced robots. i did have some trouble reconciling the 2D on 3D style at first, some of the way the faces were done were a little weird to me, but i DID think it was a cool style and it was a fun movie, but i think i was just kind of bored by the father/daughter plot b/c you kinda know the beats by know, y'know? a little goofy in places, but it had good heart imo
i checked out 'black widow' and 'kiki's delivery service' to watch next. bw just to cover my personal base of 'i can't bitch about this until i've seen it b/c it's a media property/character i love' (i did this with the silent hill movie - hated it). and i've never seen kiki's! so i figured it should remedy that
i also cleaned the kitchen hardcore on sunday (i think it was sunday, last day i had off) b/c it had been neglected and needed it. now i just gotta make sure to maintain it lol (which has been fine so far)
turq (and his friend jake) coming out to help tony drive out to stl meant he brought my new pc that tony asked him to build for me (he had also built tony's big pc and travel comp) and holyyyyyyyyyyyyyy shit lol. i knew it was gonna be Better than my previous ones b/c i've been using old laptops and, most recently, tony's previous pc (that has obv since been replaced with his new one). so, like, i'd have to set stardew valley to load up and then, like, leave the desk and do something for 5~ minutes while it loaded. and had to close out everything else to play it normally lol
so new pc has TWENTY-FOUR gigs of ram. which is obscene. tony messaged me and was like 'i'm so fucking jealous of how much ram you have' and i was like ????? b/c i hadn't even bothered checking. i was just grateful for something that was current and could run things decently lol
it's supposed to be 80F~ this weekend and i have BOTH saturday and sunday off (but i'm also broke lol b/c payday isn't until next week), so i'm gonna try to get the bike out and go for a ride or something. get out and enjoy the weather at the least

a little thing for a stream overlay since i can ACTUALLY STREAM??? with my new pc
rough example of what i'm aiming for - my ipad resolution is significantly different than my monitor res, so i gotta get creative with how it looks on stream since i don't want all the empty space around it and, also, i want it to look cute
