obliviousally | holiday friend dinner~

did friends holiday dinner with, uh, friends lol. friends sam and chris organized/hosted it and a handful of folks came and it was really chill and nice to just hang out and bullshit and chatter and eat. i made lighthouse inn potatoes (link to the cook's country recipe - i use heavy cream in mine), which are DELICIOUS and were a big hit which made me :)

sam made these amazing gingerbread cookie squares with this absolutely decadent cream cheese icing and really good ham (i think honey mustard? i could be wrong lol). friend andrew brought us all gifts of baby bundt cakes and a treat of some sort. friend basil showed up, which was great b/c he's always working ANDDDDDD he brought me this huge painted possum that i guess someone left at his workplace???? it's on that heavy posterboard stuff and it's magnificent and HUGE

we played 'what do you meme' for a bit and futzed around with andrew and his sister's old polaroid cameras and spent a half hour doing a midwestern exit with basil lol

tony sat this one out, he's not a big fan of holiday stuff a lot of the time, but i did bring him home some ham and peppermint kisses sugar cookies
