I meant to comment on this when you initially posted it but I let it pass by as things go, so I was happy you linked to it again cause I was curious about your zines (I know I am a person who kinda randomly followed you so no worries if you don't wanna answer questions lol.)
Was there a particular prompt that led to this one? Obviously each page is tied to a thematic song you linked to the concept of final girl, but it also has a frequent photography theme that kind of ties it all together. It's really creative to make it like, mixed media, or maybe like a scrapbook belonging to a character. Did you want to make a fursona zine and then find the theme through music, or the other way around, or maybe in tandem?
i had the itch to just make another color zine with my art and since my fursona is one of my most drawn subjects, i knew i had enough material for her. other than that, it's a mish-mash of song lyrics i love/relate to and 20~ year old photos from my hometown i took as a teenager. i really love doing lyrics or quotes or poetry alongside art/images
(there's also the bit where this incarnation of her started as a vampire: the masquerade self-insert character back when i was a teen and our campaign was set in the town we lived in so these would ALSO be things that are familiar to her in a lore/story way, as well)
a lot of the time, when i throw zines together, it's just me remixing things i already have 'lying around' (so to speak). i want to do a couple for my oc's and stuff, but they don't often come together quite as easily as my fursona haha (i tend to be pickier with them and want something more cohesive, basically)
it's really cool you kinda like, have the idea of remixing material you already have, I think it's super effective. I have that kind of (bad lol) idea that zines "should" be bespoke artwork stuck in my head for whatever reason so I am enjoying seeing your work where you use what you have to your advantage as well as in a interesting way to make some cool art.
