stuff and ohiofur things and also fursonapins things
i don't know where the fuck september went x_x how is it october already??? i think it just doesn't feel that way b/c it's been WARM all week (80's), but we're due to drop down to more 'seasonable' temps after the next day or two, much to my dismay
i feel like i've been doing A Lot this last month.
started a substack for ohiofurs stuff recently, as an option for folks who don't want to use discord/telegram/whatever. basically functions as a newsletter and it's easy to send out monthly and weekly updates and schedule out posts, as well. i've been enjoying using it.
also made an instagram for ohiofurs stuff b/c the two that already exist were pretty abandoned and the person who was last linked as managing the main one fell off of communicating with me. so i just went and made a new one lol. also utilized canva to make a nice, consistent post template. will probably make a new one in the new year, so help differentiate
fursonapins has a bunch of stuff dropping this month, so i did a bunch of updating on the checklists and spreadsheets for all the upcoming adopts
egyptian pins are for a kickstarter next year. ribbon foxes have been ongoing weekly-ish drops. adopts will be available in october, plus two others not listed here!
i've been using bluesky about as much as twitter rn and mostly i've just been crossposting back and forth between them. twitter is a slowly sinking ship, tho, so i've been thinking about locking and still maybe? still crossposting, but primarily using my bsky account instead. idk. idk!
i've been hanging out in the zine crisis discord lately and it's been really nice! i like the vibe there and i love seeing what people are creating
we had a water pipe burst in the basement yesterday - completely out of nowhere! heard something weird when i was going to put my phone on the charger before falling asleep and had to drag my ass into the basement to see one of the pipes behind the laundry just spewing water out. had to turn off the main water valve for the entire house (there's an apartment upstairs from us, as well) until the landlord could get his handyman out to fix it
garden is still going strong, as least until the weather swings. think i'm gonna try to just break everything down and cover it, see if that helps get some more nutrients into the plot there without me having to spend money to do it next spring. gonna have the tomatoes come back in full force, but that's not so much a problem lol
but i've been picking cherry tomatoes out frequently, as well as the peppers. out strawberries seem to be done producing, same with our cukes. hoping the brussels finish coming in alright. it feels like they've been slow growing but i know you're not intended to harvest them until after the first frost
