oh, mama raised me well

spent a bunch of time over the weekend tidying up around the house and scrubbing down some stuff i'd been procrastinating on. also packed up some blankets/bedding stuff we weren't using into the suitcases so they'd be out of the way AND the suitcases would be useful lol

sunday night, beans flew in from the front porch all wild and IT TURNS OUT, he caught a mouse. there's been some living on the back storage part of the porch for probably the last year or so and i just haven't had the motivation to drag everything out from there and deter them. they kept to their little space and didn't really encroach on the rest of the porch. i also think they were well aware that cats occupied the same space. but this is the first that got caught, so hopefully they take that as a warning

he didn't kill it, at least, and i managed to catch it and release it outside. but he was DETERMINED to find it even after i took it out

the beans and snickers are generally good mousers, but with the mice being on the porch where there's a lot of other outside noise (cars, kids next door, etc), they apparently didn't realize the were literally RIGHT THERE in their space lol

i took today off work b/c i was beat from cleaning over the weekend (a lot of moving heavy stuff around, too) and just sitting around the house doing nearly nothing was really needed, i think
