alleyman's tarot

got in my alleyman's tarot deck today and it is b e a u t i f u l

i don't, like, really do any readings, but i own a couple decks lol. an oldddd rider-waite i've had since i was in my early twenties (the one from my teens has since been long lost) and a ritual abuse deck i also got from kickstarter b/c the art is inspired by the scary stories to tell in the dark art (the ORIGINAL art)

but i saw this one on ks last year and immediately went 'YES, I NEED THAT'. the concept for the deck is really cool and something about the ever-changing-ness of it really appealed to me as something that made more 'sense' for a tarot deck than a never-shifting, never-changing deck of cards

my mom keeps giving me warnings about reading with a mixed deck b/c she had 'bad readings' (things foretold came true)

"Oh wow,! They are quite beautiful. Be careful with them. I used to love reading mine until it all went south. I saw Rob's death in my cards but didn't want to believe it. I made excuses or reasoned it out that it wasn't real and just for fun but that's not the truth. The truth is there will come a time when the cards reveal to you a future event that after it happens you will wish you never knew it first. It happen to my mom and it happened to me. We never read again. I love you. Enjoy your new cards"

Interesting decks, and interesting philosophy.

The cards don't make the fate. I think if you're getting foretellings, it's a test, not the end of a good time.
