Strength is a strong man lifting a rock, sure. but it’s as much that as a single parent raising their child alone. As much the fortitude to survive yet another snide remark about your appearance. As much the power it takes to remain calm in the face of horrors.

Strength in a reading just acknowledges the power present. perhaps the querent’s strength in surviving, or a tough opponent who is unmoving. but it always speaks of this strength, the self-mastery listed on the card itself. Strength is not power over others. It’s not dominion. It’s not wealth or owning land, or people. It’s your own strength. Your own power over yourself.

If you do reverses, this is one of the more literal ones. in reverse this card is weakness, giving in, lacking control. It signifies a person in a spiral downward. This often looks like doubt, anxiety, fear. A certainty that they are not enough.

a quick beginning of day thought lol i hesitated and almost flipped this up but paused and flipped it left. and while i'm not ALWAYS one to tell the cards they're wrong, if i'd gotten this inverted it definitely would've been wrong
